A native of South Africa, Clivia are best suited to a shaded location in a fairly frost free garden. They are perfect planted in groups under trees or on that dry south side of the house. Typically, they flower from late winter through to spring, after which ornamental red berries often appear to provide you with additional interest. Clivia also make stunning container plants being easy care and preferring to be root bound.

A rare plant from the Canary Islands off the coast of Morocco where it is endangered. An evergreen, upright shrub with glossy green leaves. Bright orange-red foxglove flowers appear in early spring, continuing through to autumn. It is very popular with the birds hence its common name the Bellbird plant. It is a cool-climate plant, tolerating cooler night temperatures, and can be planted in full sun or light shade, though does prefer protection from the mid afternoon sun.
