An unusual species begonia from the Brazilian rainforests.  The handsome foliage is the real feature with this one, with large (upto 40cm across) fan-shaped leaves, slender fingers and coppery undersides.  It is a caned-stemmed begonia and can reach heights of 2 – 3 metres (though can be pruned to smaller size), creating a palm-like effect.   Yellow-white flower clusters appear in spring. Prefers a warm, frost free situation with bright light.  Will grow indoors.
