Hydrangea indochinensis (dark leaved form)
Vietnam. White sterile lacecap flowers contrasting with intense blue true flowers. This form has dark green, pointed leaves with a maroon coloured underside. It is a fragile plant and requires a sheltered position with good soil.

A lovely lacecap. The white sepals contrast well with the true blue flowers in the centre. In late summer the white sepals on the older blooms turn a subtle pink, the bush can then have two contrasting flowers.
