Hydrangea macrophylla Bloody Marvellous
UNIQUE plant. Bloody Marvellous has rich dark chocolate foliage and superb blood-red mophead flowers that gradually turn wine-purple. In Europe this is called Merveille Sanguine which translates as Blood-coloured Marvel. Also marketed as Raspberry Crush and Raspberry Fantasy. It can be a little tender and does prefer a light shade situation to prevent petal burn.

One of the Dutch Lady Series of hydrangea with reddish coloured leaves. A lovely red and white bi-colour mop. Good for cut flower and drying. Best grown in shade.

Hydrangea macrophylla Selma
One of the Dutch Lady Series of hydrangea along with Sabrina. The mophead flowers are a deep hot pink with a magenta eye, or reddish, violet purple in acid soils (as in the photo). The new foliage has a reddish tone. Good for cut flower and drying.

A stunning deciduous Viburnum. Maroon coloured new leaves emerge in spring, fading to green, turning red again in autumn. Spring flowering, a white lacecap type with pink true flowers in the centre. Full sun or part shade.
